I am continuing to work on my book, Every Minute is a new Day.  Every Minute is a New Day explores the language of dementia with hope, love, and humor. It is a collection of stories, experiences, and direct quotes from patients/residents since the beginning of my nursing career. I am excited to put a message out into the world that sheds joy and light on life after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. This project will be an easy to read guide for anyone without trudging through pages of clinical jargon. The book is an extension of the Alzheimer’s blog that I started years ago and has had a worldwide audience, Nursebitterpill.com.

Recently, I was asked to write a children’s book that helps explain Dementia to children. I have completed the text portion and am now in the process of illustrating the book. Soon, I would like to introduce you to Lottie & Pearl.
