On Kickstarter: Every Minute is a New Day: The Language of Dementia
I would like to announce that I am now working with Xlibris to publish my book, Every Minute is a new Day. Xlibris is the hybrid self-publishing arm of Penguin. Every Minute is a New Day explores the language of dementia with hope, love, and humor. It is a collection of stories, experiences, and direct quotes from patients/residents since the beginning of my nursing career. I am excited to put a message out into the world that sheds joy and light on life after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. This project will be an easy to read guide for anyone without trudging through pages of clinical jargon. The book is an extension of the Alzheimer’s blog that I started years ago and has had a worldwide audience, Nursebitterpill.com.
I have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help support the publishing and marketing costs. (Click on link above) The campaign closes on August 22, 2015 at 11pm CST. Please share this information with anyone you think will be interested in helping or just needs to know that a message of hope is in the works. All contributions to this project will be personally thanked. Once the book is in circulation, 15-20% of all royalties will go directly towards Alzheimer’s research.
Thank you so very much,
